The One Camo to Rule Them All.
From First Lite to Sitka, from Pnuma to Kuiu, from ASAT to Element, and from RealTree to Mossy Oak, there are tons of great camouflage options on the market that suit everyone’s pursuit of choice.
Whether you’re sitting high in your climber here in Central Pennsylvania, crossing the open plains of Wyoming on an all-day stalk, wading through the dark marshes of the south, or braving the cold and rain in the mountains of Alaska, there is a camo pattern that speaks to you. Maybe it’s the camo you grew up with that you got from your grandfather. Maybe you won one of those “I’ll never win this” hunting clothing package giveaways. Maybe you were persuaded by in-depth tech overviews on why a certain camouflage works best for your chosen destination. However you came to wear the camo you know and love, whatever that camouflage is, there is one camo that time and again rises above the rest when it comes to ubiquity within the outdoor community.
Love it or hate it (or love it), that camo is undoubtedly Mossy Oak’s famous Bottomland.
It might just be a handful of dirt, sticks, and leaves, but the original Bottomland pattern put Mossy Oak on the map. There is a reason that Mossy Oak state that, “Bottomland is more than a camo pattern; it’s the uniform of those who live their best life outdoors.” They might be biased in their assessment, but that doesn’t mean they’re wrong. In fact, they couldn’t be more right. Bottomland is the official camouflage of both Ducks Unlimited and the NWTF. I can hardly think of two better endorsements. Though Bottomland contains colors and a pattern that blends and conceals in several hunting environments including turkey, waterfowl, and whitetail, that doesn’t mean you won’t see it being worn in grocery stores, at sporting events, and probably even during church.
Bottomland has taken the camouflage and outdoor culture by the scruff of the neck and not looked back. Owning a jacket, or shoes, or at least a hat has become a status symbol and a badge of honor for those of us who claim to be members of the outdoor community. Maybe you don’t wear it hunting, but I bet someone in your family does, and I bet you have at least a few things in your closet that adorn the classic camo pattern. Here at Lancaster Archery Supply, we are no different.
We carry a ton of items that utilize the famous camo; from rubber boots to sweatshirts, and from bow accessories all the way up to compound bows themselves. Mathews, Hoyt, PSE, Elite, Darton, Bowtech, Diamond, Mission, and Bear have all dipped into the Bottomland craze in recent years, and if those companies are putting it on their bows and accessories you know it must be serious. Your chosen bow brand doesn’t matter, though, because Mossy Oak is available with all of them.
You don’t want to be the outcast at your next family barbeque, and you really don’t want to be the black sheep at the next bonfire or tailgate, so do what is best and pick up some Mossy Oak Bottomland. Remember, the one way to stand out is to blend in.
