The compound target rests we offer fall into two categories, blade rests and drop-away rests. Drop-away rests are controlled by a cord that attaches to the cable or the limb of your bow that allows the rest to fall out of the way of the arrow before the arrow leaves the bow. This allows for better fletching clearance. Blade rests use a metal blade which the arrow bends against as it is leaving the bow, allowing for clearance as long as the fletchings are indexed properly.
