Protecting Your Gear

Archers spend countless hours researching, buying, tinkering, and shooting to ensure maximum performance in their bow setup every year. We dial in each accessory on our bow as well as each component that contributes to our arrow build. This means our rest, sight, stabilizer(s), release, quiver, strings, peep, vanes, shafts, nocks, and points all end up tuned and humming exactly the way we want them to.

Taking archery seriously - as many of us do - is no simple or cheap task. It can require hours and hours of work to guarantee a well-tuned system, and even if you don't dump thousands of dollars into it, the time it requires can be a drain all on its own. 'Time is money' as they say.

Given this, it could be considered irresponsible to not take the necessary steps to protect that which you have put so much time, money, and effort into. When you have case options for a wide variety of products within a wide range of price, you have no reason to neglect your gear.

Bow Protection

The obvious start for protecting your bow is, you guessed it, a bow case. Regardless of your budget or bow, there is a case out there for you. Any case will always work better than no case when keeping your gear safe and secure.

Bow cases do more than simply protecting your bow, though. They allow for easier transport. Many include accessory pockets for easy organization. Most will also have a dedicated quiver/arrow pocket. Various types of cases have a wide array of handles and straps, as well.

Whether you are taking your bow to the local range twenty minutes down the road, or going cross-country on a multi-flight hunting trip, different cases have their purposes and utility. An SKB hard case will tough it out when the airline luggage handlers are uninterested in being decent humans, and a nice soft case makes shoulder carrying your bow to a shoot with your friends a breeze.

As I touched on before, there are a ton of cases with a wide variety in utility at a wide range of price. Let's go over some so you can get a better sense of the types of options available.

Arrow Protection

Outside the cases for the bows themselves, you will also want to invest in arrow protection. If you use a hard case that comes with a dedicated quiver-holding system, then you're in the clear. Broadhead Protection
