It has felt like spring for quite a while this year, but the official first day of the season is March 20.Spring is an iffy season in Lancaster County. It can be sunny and 60 degrees, or it can be snowing and 30 degrees.Regardless of the weather outside, we've got plenty of archery indoors, where the seasons never change.Here's what's on tap for the Lancaster Archery Academy in March and April.ACADEMYARCHERY CLASSESWe’ve got multiple, 6-week classes starting soon in our Experience Archery, and Intermediate Archery courses. Listed below are the start dates and class times. Unless specified, classes are open to all archers age 6 and older. Call (717) 556-1379 for information on any of the activities listed below.EXPERIENCE ARCHERY – ALL AGES: March 1, 5-6 p.m.; March 4 and April 29, 8:30-9:30 a.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m.; April 3 and April 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m.INTERMEDIATE ARCHERY: March 1, 6:30-7:30 p.m.; March 4 and April 29, 10-11 a.m.; April 3 and 12, 5-6 p.m.INTRO to COMPETITIVE ARCHERY: April 29, 8:30-9:30 a.m.INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSESLEVEL 2April 21-22.SPECIAL EVENTSPA FITA STATE INDOORS: March 25-26; 60-arrow FITA round. Register here.SPRING FORWARD TOURNAMENT: April 8-9; 60-arrow, Star FITA round. Register here.EXPLORE ARCHERY SUMMER DAY CAMP: We have 4-day camps beginning June 12 and June 26. Camp runs from 8:30 a.m.-noon and introduces kids age 7-17 to all the basics and fundamentals of archery. Register here.COFFEE CLUB: Join us every Friday morning at 9 a.m. to eat donuts, drink coffee and shoot your bow.GRIV SEMINAR: April 1-2; learn advanced compound form and mental game from George Ryals IV.
