Lancaster Archery Supply's Dan Schuller Named PA Coordinator for Scholastic 3-D Archery
Lancaster Archery Supply will be leading the way for Scholastic 3-D Archery in Pennsylvania.LAS Customer Service representative Dan Schuller has been named Pennsylvania coordinator for the Kentucky-based S3DA program, which seeks to introduce school-aged kids to the sport of 3-D archery.danAs the State Coordinator, Dan will oversee all aspects of the S3DA program in Pennsylvania, including tournaments, training and dividing the state into regions that will allow S3DA participants multiple monthly competition venues close to home. Dan will also recruit and hire Regional Coordinators to oversee and manage these individual regions.He will have the full support of both the Lancaster Archery Academy, with Heather Pfeil and her team of dedicated coaches, along with the other archery professionals at Lancaster Archery Supply.Dan will take on this job while continuing in his role with Customer Service at LAS."S3DA is extremely excited to have Dan come on board," says Michael Lundeen, National Director for S3DA. I am excited to help assist in the growth of archery through S3DA."dan2Dan grew up in Mercer, PA, where he started shooting 3-D archery at the age of 6 with a recurve bow. He quickly developed a great passion for shooting and joined the local JOAD club, Gold–N–Grain Archery.Throughout his competitive career, Dan has won 10 Jr. National Championships; the 2008 Outdoor Senior National Championship; he has competed on 3 Junior World Teams and represented the U.S. at various international events.Dan also was a member of the U.S. Archery Team from 2005-12, living at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA, from 2006-08.In 2012, he graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Following his graduation, Dan and his wife, Maureen Schuller, relocated to Lancaster, PA, where Dan began working for Lancaster Archery Supply as a Customer Service TechXpert Representative.Dan is currently training to make the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team. He was one of 16 male archers who qualified last September to compete for the three-member team. Dan is currently ranked 11th in the trial process, which features two more rounds of competition.In his free time, Dan enjoys the outdoors and bowhunting.Started in December 2012 by the Scholastic Archery Association, S3DA has grown exponentially as a next-step program to follow introductory programs offered through 4-H or the National Archery in Schools Program. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities, such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States, with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
